Good to Know...
It is important to note that BWCA entry permits are reserved on a first come, first serve basis so the earlier you reserve your trip the better chance you have of securing the best entry point.
Once you have reached Ely, go east on Hwy 169 (this is also known as Sheridan St - the main road through Ely) Heading east, go one and a half miles past Ely and turn right onto Route 16 (also known as Kawishiwi Trail). Go four and a half miles and Boundary Waters Outfitters will be on the right.
